3D interactive games for Abby and friends
Firefly have worked closely with Sesame Street for more than 5 years, helping create and develop innovative online solutions and games for their core audience. Among them, a series of interactive video games were developed for Abby’s Flying Fairy School for online delivery.
There were strict requirements to eliminate in-game (video) buffering and wait times. This was a challenge as each game required approx 30 minutes of streaming video segments to be seamlessly interleaved with mini-game style activities.
Consequently we designed and developed a framework for effectively pre-caching, streaming and layering video assets to deliver the best experience to kids 3-5 years old. To date over 14 games have been delivered using this framework.
