Awava – Women Timeline
Timeline resource for students and teachers
For the centernary of International Women’s Day, Australian Women Against Violence Alliance (AWAVA) commissioned Firefly to design an interactive timeline showing the evolution of women’s rights through history.
Designed to be an in classroom tool for teachers and students to explore together, the timeline offered a unique linear view of historical events which helped shape the rights and social standing of women today. The online resource was developed to be content-managed and maintained by AWAVA so it was paramount that it was easy to use and intuitive to update. A clean, minimalist design utilising AWAVA’s corporate colours was utilised to display the abundant information in an uncluttered and streamlined manner.
